THE FRIENDS OF THE CONCORD CITY AUDITORIUM IS...

...an inclusive all-volunteer partnership of City Departments, and Auditorium users (producers, performers, and audience) working together to restore this historic theatre and to foster its use for the benefit of all citizens of our community. The Friends of The Audi Board is ready to assist everyone interested in using the theatre.

Since 1991, The Friends have invested over $1,000,000 in making the Audi bright, beautiful,user-friendly, and handicapped accessible. The Friends have IRS tax-exempt status.

The 2002-2003 season the Friends provided the theatre with a Bose Sound System, upgraded the lighting ith an ETC installations, Source 4 instruments, and on stage strips.

The 2004 - 2005 season marked our 100th anniversary. We hope you had many opportunities to enjoy our 101st year and it's now time to start marking your calendar for the up-coming season.

Since 1991 The Friends of the Audi have been updating this historic stage. Theres a big project waiting to be done: the FLY SPACE. Everything you see on stage curtains, lights, scenery flies from iron bars and moves as stagehand grips pull on ropes. Just like on old sailing ships, the ropes are tied off on dowels in a wooden Pinrail. Well update the stage by mechanizing the original Pinrail system, making all Auditorium shows run more safely and effectively.
